(European Academy of Childhood Disability) Annual Meeting with the joint of 14th National Turkish Child Neurology Society was held in Istanbul, physician Turkey from 16-19 May 2012. It was organised by Turkish Child Neurology Foundation, sickness Yeditepe University, Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Turkish Child Neurology Association.
All professionals working with children who have disabilities participated in this international congress. The main theme of the meeting was "Bridging: From Research to Practice"
The interesting scientific program, presented by world renowned speakers in the fields of neuroscience and neurorehabilitation, also included special sessions such as workshops, scientific posters, oral presentations, instructional courses, pre-meeting, satellite symposia and awards for the best scientific work.


Participants had the opportunity to present their up to date research on various topics ranging from motor disturbances, neurometabolic disorders, progressive deterioration of intellectual and cognitive function, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, early communication and learning disabilities, musculoskeletal problems, visual impairment, hearing loss and psychiatric problems.


Ankara National Education Directorate as the coordinator institution of CP-PACK: Development of Supportive Packages for Teachers and Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy (03-18 years old) participated in this congress. Project coordinators Rukiye PEKER presented the CP-PACK project as invited oral speaker and Banu DUMAN made poster presentation on “Research report on needs of parents and teachers of children with Cerebral Palsy in Ankara (03-18 ages).

It was an excellent opportunity to exchange views and create future collaborations.
